ACTIVITIES ACCOMPLISHED

  1. Three day seminar, July 7-9, on "Christianity and
    Homosexuality:  From a different point of  view."
  2. Sunday Service and Youth Seminar at the Riruta
    United Methodist Church, Riruta, Kenya, Sunday July
    6.  Rev. John Makokha, Coordinator for Other Sheep
    Kenya, is pastor.  Rev. Michael Kimindu, Coordinator
    for Other Sheep East Africa, attended the service and
    youth seminar.
  3. Meetings and Interaction with Other Sheep
    Coordinators and Other Sheep Lay Leaders (Project
    Support Team)
  4. Our interaction with Ishtar MSM, GALCK, and last
    year's LGBT community (60+ who were contacts
    primarily through Ishtar MSM who participated in
    discussion groups, July – August, 2007, at Blackrose
    Apartments.)
  5. Appointments, "random" contacts, impromptu
    meetings.
  6. eNews letters sent to our constituency through
    Constant Contact during this 12 day period in
    Nairobi.  Steve wrote (Rev. Makokha and Steve wrote
    for the issue reporting on the seminar) and did the
    layout design for the following eNews:
  • Steve and Jose fly from Nairobi, Kenya, to Kigali, Rwanda, while Rev. Makokha and
    Rev. Kimindu travel to Mombasa, Kenya, July 15, 2008.

  1. A half-day seminar on the Bible and homosexuality in Kisumu, August 1.  17
    people attend, mostly clergy
  2. Visit a church in the Kisumu slums
  3. Jose and Steve (in Nairobi), in their FAWE shared apartment, host a meal for 8
    of Other Sheep Kenya and give reports on their travels as well as here reports
    from Rev. Kimindu (Lambeth) and Rev. Makokha (NGO)
  4. Kiss100 Radio interviews Rev. Kimindu, Rev. Makokha and Jose and Steve
    for a prerecorded broadcast on Other Sheep Kenya and East Africa
