Mud Houses:
Along the coast between Mombasa and
Malindi, the area we travelled, we saw scores
and scores of mud houses like these. They
really are very common.

| Traveling north from Mombasa, we came first to Mtwapa Creek (below) and then to Kilifi Creek (right). The town of Mtwapa is situated on the Mtwapa Creek; the ruins of Jumba La Mtwana are close by. Kilifi is on the north side of the Kilifi Creek, and Mnarani on the south side. |
