Car trouble:  We woke to a flat tire (picture at far left) and
so changed the tire and then took the car to a local
garage to fix the tire.  The tire went flat again  while we
were in the National Park having a light breakfast (
second
picture from left
).  We drove on the spare until we came
to a second lodge in the park which had a garage.  So we
repaired the tire again.
More car trouble:
In the early evening we attempted to climb Baboon Hill.  The car over
heated twice while climbing the hill.
Picture below at left is the first over heating of the car.  After we
added water, we pushed the car up the hill to where the road became
level again.
We came to a second climb in the road and the car over heated a
second time.  This time we could not push the car up the grade, so
we precariously turned the car around (not pictured) and proceded
back down the hill.
The third time the car over heated was on the flats (
pictured at far
right
).  At this point we were driving towards the entrance of the park to
leave the park.
At left:  The road on the flats, west
side of Lake Nakuru, where the car
overheated the thrid time.

At right:  Our travel companion is
adding water to the radiator; on the
flats.
At right:  birds take flight from the
grassy watery area where we are
putting water in the radiator;  I
hope it is we who have distrubed
them and not some ferosious
animal.
